Call for Submissions

 

Route 7 Review is now accepting submissions for our Fall 2024 issue. Route 7 Review is an annually published literary e-journal produced by the student editors and faculty of Utah Tech University.

Route 7 Review's mission is to be a hub of creativity for the Southwest. We plan on creating this hub by publishing an assortment of works, such as poetry, fiction, nonfiction, book reviews, interviews, photography, and art.

Who do we publish?

Route 7 Review is looking for a variety of authors. We will publish anybody with high quality work that aligns with our publication.

When can I submit?

We will begin accepting submissions on September 20, 2024. We will close our submission process on November 1, 2024. All submissions should be sent through Submittable. We are looking for original work so we will not accept already published works. 

​

How much does it cost to submit to R7R?

Our submission process is free of charge! We want to our publication to be accessible and dropping a submission fee helps us obtain that goal.

When will I hear back from R7R?

Our editors will get back to you by early December on the status of your submission. 

​

Can I use AI to create my work?

While we understand and appreciate the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we will not be accepting any work created with AI in this publication. We want to highlight what humans are capable of producing on their own.

 

Hard Sell

We will NOT publish:

• Any written work that is over the word limit for that specific genre.

• Anything primarily intended to promote particular political or religious views/ideologies.

• Works that include graphic or demeaning content.

  • Violence (of any kind), sexual content, promotion of drugs or alcohol
